Eco-Tech is a proud participant of the Co-operative Education program by the Waterloo Region District School Board. Collecting and processing E-waste at Eco-Tech provides co-op students and young adults in the Waterloo Region, the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge about the Electronic Recycling Industry. In addition to technical skills, volunteers also learn proper lifting, skidding and packing techniques as well as the basics in the field of IT.

Front Entrance Attendant

​

Main functions: Greet and assist individuals with unloading E-waste items from their vehicles.

​

  • Additional skills: Strong soft skills, reliable, punctual, autonomous, able to work in teams, able to lift loads of up to 50lbs at a time

  • Required equipment: Safety shoes

  • Ages: 16+

  • Languages spoken: English, Spanish

  • Hours per week: 25-40

  • Volunteer schedule: Monday - Friday 11 am - 4 pm

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months
